The I Ching: The Wisdom for Life

Saturday, September 28, 2013
10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Taught by Lyratah

Said to be one of the world’s oldest books, the I Ching has been the resource for insight, understanding and revelatory processes throughout the centuries.  The I Ching, dating back to the 2 millennium BCE if not before, has withstood the Ages, and is in some ways similar to what the Egyptian Emerald Tablets is to Alchemy.  They are a body of wisdom designed to  assist us in our relative and spiritual development .  The very fact that the I Ching has survived the ages speaks volumes as to its significance and purpose.

As a tool of divination, it is unrivaled and magical.  As a tool of self knowledge it holds deep insights into our reasoning, our motivations and our purpose as we work to be vessels of integrity, moving “in time and on time” and outside of the laws of time and space.

We will examine the historical aspects and the form of the I Ching, the 8 basic trigrams that make the 64 hexagrams.  We will analyze the message patterns within the body of the I Ching and its organization to better comprehend its depth and how to work with this sacred tool in today’s world.

Bring a copy of the I Ching with you.  Copies of will be available for purchase.  We will use the I Ching, Book of Changes by Richard Wilhelm and Cary F. Baynes, the Bollingen Series XIX, Princeton University Press.

Come prepared to write, bring water, lunch.  Light snacks coffee and tea will be available.

Fee: $85
